Description:

EPA?s strategy for reducing waste generation and increasing recycling is based on (1) establishing and expanding partnerships with businesses, industries, states, communities, and consumers; (2) stimulating infrastructure development, environmentally responsible behavior by product manufacturers, users, and disposers (?product stewardship?), and new technologies; and (3) helping businesses, government, institutions, and consumers through education, outreach, training, and technical assistance. Some grants awarded under this announcement may involve geospatial information.
